Walked - around four miles

In the dog days of summer...warm and humid over past few weeks rather consistently with thunderstorms about the area most every day (only hitting here about one in five days). Still, plenty of rain lately and when it rains, it pours for hours. Deer fly season in full swing, makes it hard to walk around the neighborhood but should only last a few more days.

Today was a near perfect day, had a good night sleep and a good walk on the Acton/Groton bike trail. Spent most of afternoon reading on on internet. Looks like Sarah Palin will be getting in the race on or about September 3.

Despite the warm and humid weather, signs are there that the summer is drawing to an end. Noticeably darker in the morning and mostly dark by 8PM. Things are going to start ramping up over the next couple weeks as the fall season approaches.

Went to Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun last weekend for wife's birthday. Had a great time and did surprisingly well in the casino including a $1200 jackpot on a nickel machine!

Will try to hit the beach tomorrow.
