Breakfast: None
Lunch: Ham & Cheese omelette, cheese, rice cakes
Dinner: Ham & Cheese omelette
Drinks: Coffee, Fuze, two Pilsner Urquell, italian liqueur
Woke up this morning to a total of maybe 10 inches of snow. Not quite the 12-24 inch blizzard that was predicted. Anyway, got shoveled out pretty quickly as it was very light, fluffy snow. Lots of wind blowing it around.
Sort of a quasi-holiday at work. Technically a holiday but I monitored a skeleton crew we had working. Not much going on. Overall, a very quiet, uneventful day.

Day of the Blizzard
Sunday, December 26, 2010
Breakfast: Oatmeal squares
Lunch: Cookies, peanuts
Dinner: Baked Haddock and rice
Drinks: Two coffees, Fuze, four beers and some Italian liqueur. Egg Nog before bed.
Had a real good night sleep, having gone to bed around 10AM the night before. Did some groceries in the morning and got ready for the upcoming storm which promises to deliver 12-24 inches of snow to the area. Got the generator fired up and put in the garage just in case and set up snow rake and other snow paraphernalia.
Otherwise, I sat around watching football. New England crushed the Buffalo Bills to clinch first seed in the AFC and the two other New York teams (Jets and Giants) also lost. Can't get better than that.
Got a wood fire going early afternoon and kept it going into the night. We had about an inch of snow in the morning but that wasn't the real storm, the first flakes of the "blizzard" started falling around 3:30 in the afternoon and it stayed on the light side through most of the afternoon and evening. Went out to shovel around 7:30PM and 11:30PM and each time only 2-3 inches so either lots more will come overnight or the forecast of blizzard will bust. As I type this (around 1AM) the snow is finally starting to come down heavily. We'll see in the morning how much we get.

Christmas 2010 with Blizzard on the way
Saturday, December 25, 2010 - Christmas Day
Breakfast: Ham and cheese omelettes, oatmeal squares
Lunch/Dinner: Luncheon meats, cheeses, lettuce, ham, cookies, cream puffs
Drinks: Italian liqueur, wine, Fuze.
Woke up around 7:30 am despite going to bed around 3AM. Christmas morning. The only time of year I drink liquor in the morning! After a very heavy breakfast, we sat around opening a few gifts and listening to Christmas music by the fire. Had a coffee mug full of Italian liqueur but it's only once a year. Later had dinner with the relatives and that went well. All in all, a very quiet and restful day.
Lot of talk about an upcoming blizzard for Sunday/Monday.

Christmas Eve 2010
Friday, December 24, 2010 (Christmas Eve)
Breakfast: Stonyfield Farm Strawberry Yogurt
Lunch: Turkey Soup - Two bowls with pasta
Dinner: Christmas junk - Cookies, fudge, croissant
Drinks: Coffee, egg nog, hazlenut liquor
Was a perfect Christmas Eve. Off from work, no stress, perfect weather (clear skies, high in upper 30s). Went to Home Depot to get things for fireplace, Barnes & Noble for last minute gifts and then the liquor store to get some holiday liquid cheer. Took a couple of walks (on the short side) with the dog. Around dusk, took a walk around the neighborhood as all the lights were coming on.
Had a Christmas party in early evening but fortunately filled up on turkey soup beforehand so I did not eat too much junk. Recorded most of the Christmas Eve show by Oedipus over the Internet - great show by the way. Stayed up until almost 3AM breaking down the show into MP3s and watching the fireplace slowly die down.
