Woke up to guess what...more rain. But it was only slight drizzle when I went out for my morning walk. Later on the sun popped out but that produced some very heavy thunderstorms around the area. It was also very humid today but felt good as I haven't had a real good taste of summer yet. Was a very smooth day at work and I finally got my email and Outlook contacts straighted out for the most part and my new smart phone is uploaded with hundreds of clean, accurate contacts.
Actually felt good today with respect to energy levels.

Today was a little more like a typical summer day. Lots of blue sky, warm temps and thunderheads by afternoon (though we missed the storms this time). Stayed local most of the day and did all the walking in the neighborhood. Mowed the grass. Grilled some food. Got a little reading done but spent most of my time programming my new Smart Phone so that I can be ready to go on Monday morning.
Was hoping tomorrow would be my first beach day of the year but weather is going to be cool and cloudy - especially at the coast, so I'll stick around here another day and hope to get a lot of reading done. On my iPod, listened to the Nick Drake Cover Story (from Coverville) twice. Discovered a lot of good music to download later.

Awoke to a massive thunderstorm this morning (around 4AM) during a dream in which I was driving a new car pulled by horses...and my dog. Gave my quarterly meeting this morning to about 50+ people. Day flew by. My new Smart phone came in and it will take me a few days to get used to it. Rain moved in again during the afternoon but it's muggy and warm so easier to take. On way home, I got a flat tire on the highway. Had to pull over to the shoulder and change it - on the highway side. Didn't get home until nearly 9PM. Then took dog for a long walk. It's 11:15PM as I type this and I still haven't had much time for myself.

Two celebrities died this day (Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson) and that is all over the media. I am already tired of hearing about it all.

This weather is really starting to get old. Another cold, dark day of nonstop drizzle, much of the day was heavy drizzle that wiped out my morning walk. Haven't seen the sun (other than patches on Saturday) since I was in Chicago last week. It is said that the sun will break out of the clouds tomorrow but I'm not counting on it. What is most depressing is that this week had the longest days of the year and we had a heavy cloud cover the entire time.
Work went well again today, actually having fun at work. I guess it's easy to do when it is so miserable to be outdoors. I feel bad for the people who took a vacation this week.

I am going to try eating larger breakfasts in order to ward off the hunger pains I get when I get home at night. This afternoon, seemed to work as I wasn't all that hungry.

Back to routine today. Took morning walk at Groton bike trail and noticed the deer flies are out - not too many yet but I'm sure their numbers are about to increase. Day was on the cool side with mostly clouds but humid. Still, the rains held off today and the sun did poke out at times so not that bad of a day. Did some grilling and took a long afternoon walk. Got a lot of reading done.
Feel really bloated with the trip and I'm going to put off weighing myself another week so that hopefully I can get back to ground zero. Definitely no weight loss of any significance the past month and I actually feel like I might have gained a few.
Tomorrow starts summer but it doesn't feel like it yet. Though during my evening walk, the fireflies were out in full force.

Back to routine today. Took morning walk at Groton bike trail and noticed the deer flies are out - not too many yet but I'm sure their numbers are about to increase. Day was on the cool side with mostly clouds but humid. Still, the rains held off today and the sun did poke out at times so not that bad of a day. Did some grilling and took a long afternoon walk. Got a lot of reading done.
Feel really bloated with the trip and I'm going to put off weighing myself another week so that hopefully I can get back to ground zero. Definitely no weight loss of any significance the past month and I actually feel like I might have gained a few.
Tomorrow starts summer but it doesn't feel like it yet. Though during my evening walk, the fireflies were out in full force.

Youngest son graduated high school today. Near perfect day weatherwise - upper 70s, low humidity. Morning was a frenzy getting yard ready for party, then the ceremony, and then a four hour stint at the grill cooking all the food. I was running around all over the place and got over 12 miles of waking in. (Also took a hike this morning on new bike trail in Chelmsford). Had a blast though and this was definitely a great day all around.
