But a good day with plenty of time to exercise. Temps got into low 90s today but dropping into 40s tonight as cooler weather is coming in. Went to Longhorns with wife after work and she bought me a bookcase!

After a great night sleep, summer arrived today. Temperature was 54 degrees when I started my walk and about 62 when it ended. All through morning, temps climbed through 60s, into 70s and then into 80s. My backyard thermometer hit 90 degrees but I think we'll call it around 88 degrees officially. The warmth felt very good and we haven't had it since mid-September - over half a year. Of course, all the bugs came out too.

Did some light yard work, got the grill going (first barbeque of year) and a lot of reading done.

Very good day, one of the "10" days for sure.

Much better day today. Got morning walk down with new episode of Coverville, spent morning at auto dealership getting car worked on and spend rest of day at office up north. The work day was very busy but it went by fast. Weather was okay this morning but cold, chilly rains moved back in during afternoon and continued into night so another day of limited walking. Forcast calls for 70s and 80s this coming weekend so looking forward to that.

Actually a pretty bad day - haven't had a truly bad day for a while. Woke up to pouring rain and had to skip morning walk entirely. Didn't get my proper breakfast. Work was crappy, lot of political stuff going on. Got out for walk at lunchtime and halfway through, it started pouring rain on me. I got back to office completely drenched and worked rest of day in soaking wet clothes. Got home and barely had time to get any reading done. Weather was cold, soaking wet and nasty.

29 degrees it was this morning - have yet to have a truly warm day this spring. Still, had plenty of energy today despite only a few hours sleep last night. Rather slow day at work (due to Patriots Day holiday) but still worked late - but not after having had a decent midday walk in the woods. Good day today to end another very short weekend. Unlike last year at this time when I had vacation, it is going to be a very busy week of work upcoming. Had a good walk today in Groton woods and dog especially had fun slogging through a lot of muddy water. Had to give it a massive bath tonight. Temps hit about 60 but as I write this tonight, it's back down to 35 degrees.

Lost another pound over the past week even though it seems I've been overeating lately. Just very hungry. But if I overeat, at least it's nothing but good, healthy food. Read another 100+ pages of Cathedral of Sea and listened to a lot of good music from Baroque music to Bob Dylan's radio hour to Vin Scelsa's radio shows.

Woke up just before 5AM with very strange dream about work. After that, went to visit some family for Easter dinner and then went walking some more. Got a lot of work done in preparation for tomorrow. Downloaded "Babbitt" audiobook by Sinclair Lewis. Going to get a lot of reading done in the coming weeks. Temperatures never climbed out of 40s all day and going back below freezing tonight. Did weekly weighing and dropped one pound since last Sunday. This weekend went by very fast.

Slept deeply last night but only for about 5 hours as I got to bed late. Work was busy and had some more meetings towards end of day as company re-org continues to come together. Went out to dinner (work-related) afterwards. Still had opportunity to get my quota of walking in.

Weather turned cold and raining shortly after 11AM. Very heavy rain in afternoon. There are going to be a good number of cold, raw days coming up. Then maybe spring will arrive for real.

Never really got in the groove today. Felt run down and tired out. Still, was able to walk and get some yard work done (with the wheelbarrow just like last year). Was a decent day, near 60 degrees and lots of sunshine after a cool start. Everything suddenly turning green, especially the grass and lots of buds on the trees and bushes. Got some more clothes for work and spent most of afternoon and night reading and listening to Bob Dylan radio hour and Vin Scelsa radio shows.

So tired this morning. Woke up after 6AM and thought I was late for workday but realized it was weekend and went back to sleep for a while. Walked 5 miles around neighborhood and did usual errands including library. Turned cold and windy for afternoon with intermittent rain but still got my walking in. Took youngest son driving. After dinner, whole family went to see "Knowing" which was pretty decent movie.

This was busiest week at work in quite some time and am very tired. Got normal walk this morning which is good thing because I hardly got to walk again rest of day. Cold rain fell most of the day with a vivid thunderstorm around 5PM. Went to a party after work and drove by scene of bank robbery. Ended up not getting home until close to midnight.

This is promising to be the longest workweek in quite a while. Didn't have time for full walk this morning as I had to get to main office for new fiscal year dog-and-pony show and then to the office up north. Tomorrow, I have to give up my morning walk entirely and be in Providence by 8AM. Wore a full suit today and couldn't really walk at lunchtime either so most of my walking was done after work. Then I spent most of the night working. Didn't get to eat very much either.
