One of the local politicians (state rep candidate) popped over to leave a yard sign. Spent evening reading Eisenhower and listing to Die Walkure.

Started day in Groton woods, wind picked up and placed new layer of leaves over what I just raked yesterday. Spent entire afternoon raking and bagging more leaves. Will be very sore tomorrow but worth it as yard is for the most part, very clean. Still, many more leaves yet to fall. Was very cold this weekend and barely got out of low 50s today. With the recent freezes, all the mosquitoes and most other insects are dead. Boston Red Sox in Game 7 tonight of ACLS as they won last night 4-2.

I'm trying to get all leaves raked before the snows move in so I don't have to rake in April. Very cool today and will be going below freezing tonight.

Very cold start to this morning and car ready ICY for first time since late April or early May. 37 degrees this morning and some scattered frost on the ground. Did warm up well into 60s though.
