Took dog for 5-mile walk at Harry Rich State Forest in Groton this New Year's morning. Not a single other person in sight. Pedometer malfunctioned due to crunching through some fresh snow but most of trail was packed well.
Why do dogs sometimes rub themselves in certain spots on the ground? Usually over some kind of dead animal?
Finished walk around 11AM and it immediately started snowing. Expecting a few inches of fresh powder this afternoon and maybe another walk with the dog later. Right now, I am posting this in a "snow globe" as snow is steadily falling outside the windows around me.
It is New Year's Day so I figure I might as well do something different this year, such as start a blog. New Year's Day is best time to make resolutions as you don't have to think much about them. During my walk this morning, I thought of several things I can do different. Such as read more books, exercise more, eat better, etc., etc. We shall see.
